The food was more than I expected I order the blockhouse hen salad with Choice of marinated chicken. I also ordered side order of okra. They give you this huge plate filled with food. The chocolate cake yeah it melts in your mouth literally. Will go back to eat again and try something different. Everything was soooo good! My total was about $40

It’s a steak you can make at home for 1/3 the price. We ordered prime rib med rare and ribeye med well with 2 salads. Ribeye was a terrible 1/4” well done you can get from a meat truck. The prime rib was med well but edible. Service was terrible. We were wishing we had the waitress next to us. She was good. Not worth the $100 we paid for 2 meat and 2 salads with water to drink.

I really enjoyed the lunch there, from the outside the restaurant is not so impressive, however, once inside the atmosphere is charming. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful in making a choice. Prices where we’re above average for the type of food, but the taste was above average as well. Plenty of parking in the rear of restaurant and also had a nice patio area in the back as well. The restaurant had a full service bar and was well stocked. I didn’t try the oysters, however, I did see that someone had ordered some at the bar and looked very tasty, next time I’ll give them a try. Give them a try and let me know in comments how you liked them.

Cozy Parker High School booth (sentimental to me considering I grew up in that mill hill two streets over), crushed ice, fresh brewed unsweetened tea, best ever chargrilled grouper, lightly battered okra and homemade croutons on top of my mixed greens salad. We’ve traveled a lot and enjoyed our share of coastal seafood restaurants. However we were pleasantly surprised how tasty this perfectly prepared grouper was, even the tartar and cocktail sauces were homemade. I’m ashamed to say this is my ONLY full dinner visit here. We will drive from Lake Hartwell to be regulars! You must experience it!
